Together we strive to build upon the class room education provided to our students with particular focus on subjects areas considered critical for the Zimbabwean economy.
Tafadzwa is currently studying towards a Master of Commerce Degree in Economic Development and his research is focused on early childhood development. Tafadzwa holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Management Studies as well as a BCom Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Tafadzwa has valuable tutoring experience, having tutored final year Economics students for two years. Tafadzwa regularly volunteers at Harare Children’s Home’
Tarisiro attained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Genetics (UCT), and subsequently in 2015 her Bachelor of Medical Science Honours in Medical Biochemistry (UCT). Tari aspires to one day become a cancer research scientist in Zimbabwe.
At UCT Tarisiro volunteered as a debating coach the Thetani Debating League under the Ubunye organisation (Ubunye is a student-run development agency). Before UCT, Tarisiro attended Chisipite Senior School where she was involved with Rotaract Interact Society. Tari was the Interact Vice President in senior school.
Runyararo has experience in the capacity-development industry and works in the banking sector. He holds a BCom degree in Management Studies from the University of Cape Town (UCT), South Africa.
At UCT he worked with SHAWCO (a skills development and education programme that operates in low income areas) and he has previous experience with volunteer organisations including St. John’s College Interact Society.
Sandra, is a SAP consultant. Sandra holds a BCom Honours degree in Economics from Rhodes University, South Africa. Sandra’s final year research project at Rhodes focused on the use of sustainable energy sources for low income earners.
Sandra attended Dominican Convent High School, where as part of the Junior Achievement Programme, Sandra headed a company that was awarded the most environmentally friendly award.
Vonriette, is an aspiring Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She works at Barclays Bank Zimbabwe. Vonriette majored in Economics and Finance (UCT) at undergraduate level before going on to attain a BCom Honours degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management (UCT).
Vonriette has worked with SHAWCO at UCT, tutoring Mathematics and English to children aged between six (6) and eighteen (18).
Emerge is an academic development trust founded in 2016 with the intention of providing free tutoring services to Children’s Homes across Zimbabwe.
